You will be learning from an exceptional team of highly qualified and motivated instructors, with unrivalled experience and knowledge of surf coaching and the local surf. Our Head Instructor, Chris Rea, has 15 years experience running one of the UK's most successful surf schools as well as having over 30 years surfing experience locally and internationally. Chris is also a BSA Surf Coaching advisor, SLS GB Trainer and a BSA Trainer/Assessor.

Harlyn Training has the edge over other training schools as our trainee lifeguards and surf instructors are able to carry out their work experience with us at Harlyn Surf School. Most other lifeguard and surf instructor training providers do not offer this opportunity and it means that trainees need to go off and arrange their own work experience at another surf school. This makes everything far more complicated and time consuming for the trainee. It's so much easier to carry out your surf instructor course and necessary work experience all at the same place at the same time.

PLEASE NOTE: The BSA course is now a 2 day and not a 3 day course and costs £180pp. These courses run the weekends before the lifesaving courses which run from a Mon - Friday with exam on the Sat. The joint combined course costs £475
